Christian musician Daniel Calveti, who's well known to music fans from Central and South America
, will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday at Evangel World Prayer Center, 5400 Minors Lane.
The event was organized by a group of eight Louisville
Hispanic churches from various denominations that call themselves Podemos Alcanzar Nuevos, which roughly translates in English as “together we can reach others.”
Philip Molestina, pastor of He Visto La Luz Christian Church in the Iroquois Manor Shopping Center, said he and other organizers hope the event will create unity among local and regional Hispanics.
Molestina said the event is expected to draw 2,000 people from Louisville churches and others from Lexington, Radcliff, Elizabethtown, Bowling Green and Southern Indiana.
For more information, call Molestina at 475-4122 or e-mailphilipo@lahoz.org.

Every high schooler received an envelope with a challenge inside, and each had the choice to open it or not. The task inside could be a big challenge or a small one, but if Bizianes left it unopened, she’d never know...
